Kyle has been at the gym for the 6am class an average of 4x/week since the first day he showed up back in December. You see, he had
drunkenly foolishly bet Will Grumke that after just three months of CrossFitting, he could beat Will in the CrossFit Open.
We’re three workouts into the CrossFit Open, and things aren’t looking super good for Kyle. But I’ll tell you some things that are looking super good for him:
- He’s knocking out Double Unders left and right;
- He’s got Ring and Bar Muscle Ups (78 reps on 16.3 – the day he learned them!);
- His 500m Row + 400m Run time is 3:40, which is the about the same as the time it took him to walk/jog a lap around the building on his first day.
And to top it all off, like most of the other S2/1st-Phorm guys that I know, he’s about as nice a guy as you’ll ever meet.
Kyle, the 6am class and 314 Community sure are lucky that you’re a man of your word when you make
drunken silly bets. Love having you in the gym, brother.
Keep up the Strong Work.
N.B. – Kyle Comes is a national-caliber Powerlifter. Based on my brief Facebook research, he’s squatted 606, benched 501, and deadlifted 636 for a 1700+lbs Powerlifting Total. Holy. Smokes.
