Steve Libera, aka, “Paige’s boyfriend”
Steve’s been at the gym for not quite 3 months now. He spent the first month picking some aggressive weights for the workouts against my recommendation and consequently finishing in a pile of tears and soreness. (If he finished at all, that is.)
After a good chunk of lessons learned, Steve is now an ideal client. (And a darn good guy to boot.) He comes in every day with humility and a preparedness to work hard. He asks either myself or Rob to pick a good weight for him that he can keep moving throughout the workout, and he gives it hell while keeping pretty darn good form.
Unsurprisingly, he’s improving at an alarming rate.
Steve, I wish every athlete at my gym – beginner and veteran alike – had the same willingness to work their butts off after immediately checking their ego at the door. I think that goes for me too, come to think of it.
