I’m a huge fan of setting a hefty number of goals to work toward. Last week, I came across Dave’s goals on the old Facebook:

  • Weight below 210
  • Run a consistent 9 min mile
  • Unassisted pull up
  • 400lb deadlift
  • 350lb back squat
  • 250lb front squat
  • 200lb clean and jerk
  • 150lb snatch
  • 25 consecutive double unders

That’s one hell of a list.

But Dave’s got a number of things working in his favor that are critical to any person meeting ambitious goals: a supportive community (all 314 members have this), a super supportive wife, and a change for the better in terms of time-constraints and/or stress-level. (If I’m not mistaken, I think in 2014 Dave went through a job transition or two as well as moved a family of 4 little girls and 1 big girl.)

Dave, I take a real, vested interest in each of our members’ goals. But I’m particularly excited to watch you motor through these over the course of the next year.

Keep up the Strong Work.

N.B. – I forgot to give away the prizes for the 2014 Super Special Bonus Points. First person to name all 5 athletes other than me and Dave takes the first leftover prize.
