The ideal catch position for the snatch will include the following:

  • Crease of the hip below parallel;
  • Knees out;
  • Maintain Lumbar Curve;
  • Chest up
  • Armpits facing foward.

It takes a long time to develop this position. Spend 5-15min a day working on it during the Crossfit Warmup.
